A real estate industry veteran of nearly two decades, Kevin manages EPI’s performance and portfolio, including multifamily and retail properties. He is responsible for identifying areas for growth through targeted acquisitions and the development of existing assets. Additionally, Kevin oversees the property management team, ensuring positive growth for both the company and its partners and investors. As part of the fourth generation of Eakins running EPI, he thrives on meeting and exceeding the expectations set by the previous generations.
Before joining the family business at EPI, Kevin honed his skills while serving as the Director of Redevelopment at Snell Properties, a real estate development and asset management company, where he managed the planning, design and construction of major redevelopment and repositioning projects across a multifamily portfolio in Northern VA. He was also responsible for managing the company’s asset performance across a diverse portfolio of multifamily, hospitality, and office properties.
Prior to his time at Snell, Kevin served as both Project Manager and Revenue Manager at Virginia Management, Inc., a property management company based in Northern VA. His duties included managing renovation projects across a portfolio of 4,500+ apartments, leading the construction and operations teams through the totality of the renovation process, and overseeing pricing and marketing across the multifamily portfolio to ensure revenue growth and positive asset performance.
Kevin previously served as the President of the Northern Virginia Apartment Association and remains involved in the continued support of the organization. He has also volunteered as a mentor for the Urban Land Institute’s Young Professionals group.
Outside of work, you can find him playing with his kids in the backyard, building something in the woodshop, working on a classic car, or enjoying some quality cocktails with family and friends.
